Philosophy
As a real estate investor in the early '80's, I searched without success for a Buyer's Broker who could advise and counsel me and help me make sound investment decision on real estate purchases. I learned that Buyer Agency was still limited in New England.I obtained a real estate license and worked for a while within the traditional practice of representing sellers in their home sales. But my real love of the business centered on the search and negotiation process for home buyers. In 1989, after traveling and interviewing Buyer Agents in other parts of the country, I became the first Exclusive Buyer Agent in Massachusetts and took every course about Buyer Agency I could find, often traveling to other states. I met many great professionals who had the same philosophy I had about serving home buyers who really needed the services of an exclusive buyer representative. These real estate experts were and are the 'movers and shakers' in the Buyer Agency movement and have shared so much to enhance client services throughout the country. After actively practicing as an Exclusive Buyer Agent for 14 plus years, I now focus on working closely with Clients, assisting our agents and managing a growing office. As Broker/Owner of The Buyer's Broker Co. Inc., I spend my days helping Clients of our company (potential HomeBuyers), developing Policies and Procedures, and assisting and training our staff. I am especially proud of the consumer education efforts we undertake through our Homebuyers Resource Center, Adult Education classes, and our Buying Right Workshops. Each month I recognize one of our Buyer Agents with an award for Quality Service and Savings. The emphasis of this achievement is serving our clients' interest in helping them save money, time, get better terms when they purchase a home, and helping them purchase the BEST home for their money. Unlike traditional real estate practices that emphasize the dollar and number volume of transactions, our philosophy focuses on serving home buyers' needs.
